At 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning Joseph Skevington passed form this life at the residence of his granddaaughter, Mrs. Lucy Cresses on east Pike street. The deceased was born in Bedford, England, in 1806. In 1851 he set sail for America and settled near Cincinnati. Three years later he removed to Reynods, White COunty wher ehe has since resided. He was the father of 13 children, four of whom survive him together with 17 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. The funeral services were conducted this afternoon by Rev. GW Switzer.
